Thumbs up Fairmont Tickford

Hi all just wanted to say hi, Just bought my second Au Fairmont both have been 3/99 models 1st being a polar white v8 GHIA , which i regretfully sold a few years ago. But the bug bit again ( Corolla too small for kids ) an the week before Xmas bought a bargain off the net , a Metallic pearl Blue Fairmont V8 with full factory compliance Tickford options from motor, brakes body kit an suspension an LSD an wheels. With 110,000 KLMS on the clock for under $10 Gr.
So i joined here to get sum advise on engine upgrades an stuff so too all Fairmont fans have a good new year..

Sounds great - what exactly are the Tickford options on the motor & brakes. There should be a Tickford plate listing what the fitted - it should be limited to suspension,, maybe brakes (if it got the Tickford premium setup) and perhaps momo gear and sunroof. AFAIK, Tickford did not "tickle" the motor.

What about a few photos too?

Sorry guys my mistake on the motor ? the plate does stipulate the cross drilled ventilated rotors suspension wheels and body kit, but compared to my GHIA this Motor absolutley hammers cant keep it in a straight line when u plant it it just skittles side ways up the road. PICS are being loaded as i speak
she is a bit dirty though

I'd be checking the upper shock mounts inside the boot then - sounds like they're stuffed. Of course, there's nothing stopping the previous owner(s) from beefing up the engine a bit either!

You mean right side?

Zhodak - neither colour came out in AU1, I reckon it's galaxy blue. You and your blue colours, LOL.

It might have a shorter diff (as well as any engine mods). How many revs is it doing cruising at 100km/h with the shifter pulled back to 3 in "Econ" mode with the converter locked?

If you can post that and the wheel & tyre sizes I should be able to tell you what diff ratio you have.
