Was driving in the rain the other day, went around a sharp right hand corner, got a bit loose and smacked the rear passenger wheel into a gutter. As a result now the wheel squeeks everytime it rolls around. Just wondering if anybody knows what it may be. Obviously something is rubbing, I;ve had a good look but nothing appears to be out of the ordinary. Also when i apply the brakes the squeek isnt as loud or sometimes it dissapears.

check the hand brake shoes, these are inside the brake disc, chances are you have either knocked them a bit loose with the hit, or bent the disc out of shape...
good luck |

cheers mate, i had another look and it looks like i've bent the handbrake shoe and its constantly rubbing on the disc. appears to be alot more brake dust on this wheel compared to the others aswell. can i fix it myself or should i get a brake specialist to look at it.

Take it to a brake/suspension joint and get it checked out. A $14 Pedders check is really cheap and at least you'll know what is going on.

Yeah I agree with Russell. Pedders will give you a full written report. then you can shop around for parts/prices elsewhere. Pedders generally go a little over board with their reports also in an attempt to scare you into getting your business straight away so dont feel pressured to accept their offer on the spot.
Their report is always extensive. And if you choose to do all the things listed over time, then your car should be handling super sweet. its the only way I'd do it, and at least you know all your bases are covered.
