With the recent crack down against "hoons" here is another bright idea by the state government - we all know that you cant buy plates as below from VicRoads web site

We will not issue plates we think:
are likely to offend (for whatever reason);
or send a negative message about safe driving or road safety;

But if you have one of these plates currently then Vicroads can take them back - they will pay you the fee that you paid to get them but they can be taken off you. :(

Alot of ppl will think they are lucky to have been issued these plates BUT not so lucky anymore...........

i knew this already as my GF's sister was going to get the plates MENACE and was told she could not get them as it would promote hoon driving (or whatever).
she wanted them because that was the colour of her car.

What a load of crap...
If they wanted to do the state a favour, get rid of the variations of ENVY (NV, NVS...etc)
