The drive video claims that the first 90 have already been sold. And HSV can only make around 6 a week, so it would be a long wait!

Not bad at all if true.

http://www.drive.com.au/

Wonder if metallic paint is still $300 more lol

Good effort to get them off the ground. The red boys have the bragging rights now.

Lets hope Top Gear get hold of a Vauxhall 427 to thrash, it should give the euros a hurry up.

At least it has paved the way for FPV to possibly follow their lead with something special. FPV would be too scared to ask for that sort of money on one of their cars without having someone else testing the waters.

Think of it this way - Ford supporter 1st, Australian 2nd.

Yes, this is a car that even I can go overseas and say 'That was made in my country'.

And think about it. If Holden can mount a strong business case for a $155k hi-po car, that will open the eyes of the guys-n-gals trying to make a valid business case for a revived GTHO. And we know they've been trying and trying and trying to get one across the line.

Queue endless incessant ranting debate about what a GTHO should actually be.....

For all that power the 0-100 time seems disappointing :(

A 6L VZ clubby is like 0-100 in 5.5.

Great car, but I don't think its worth 155k, almost get a Lambo for that

Only a matter of time now before thousands of Omegas are transformed into 'W' replicas with aftermarket repro bodykits and sold to owners trading in their VT Execs with Clubby kits and Munro tail lights.

If people are stupid enough to pay that sort of money for a souped up Commodore, let them. What’s that old saying… a fool and their money are soon parted?

Suprised the greenies haven't had a heart attack over the thing, fuel economy's over 17L per 100.

I don't get why when FPV released the Typhoon with 550nm of torque they were called irresponsible, yet HSV release this thing and the so called road safety experts say nothing. :

FPV FG F6 0-100 5.1 seconds.... wonder how hard it would be to get another .4 off that time????

wouldnt be that hard surely..... seen some of the BF F6's pull 350rwkw on the dyno that would already be in that mid 4's easy and for a lot less than $155 big ones

You are forgetting the main thing, 100% road legal with factory warranty, you can't compare a modified car.

being able to afford spending $155k on a car is not a sign of stupidity or foolishness.

Only 427 of them are being made, so apart from the thrill. it may just be something that j curves into a handy profit down the track.

People would snap them up even if they were 200K, as they would a similarly spec'd, limited release car from Ford/FPV, IMO.
I like it but wouldn't spend that much (fortunately buying or not buying a 150K car is not a problem i have).

if the f6 owner can do it, why not do from factory.....

maybe with the new V6 full of twin turbo goodness might settle the score and probably do it on less fuel to keep the greenies happy.....

maybe its in the plans already.... who knows
Ford are probably "testing" these engines right now and know how much they can get out of them...

one upmanship.... blow the 7.0ltre dunnydores off with a 3.7 litre V6. That would be hilarious
