am wanting to fit a high series BEM to AU xl ute...
im guessing its not a plug and play exercise... are the plugs and pin assignments much different? |

I have a pink high series BEM sitting around at home ... but AFAIK it's a Series 2/3 BEM.
I may not work if you have a Series 1 with Smartlock.

would anyone have a BEM (low and high series) wiring diagram for S1 AU...
ive got one for S2 but it will be different to S1 |

any ideas what would happen if you swapped a high series bem into where a low has been? could bad things happen..ie frying something

As far as I know, NO namecrap. I have an AU XR6 series 1 which I am putting a High series BEM into and there is no probs doing so.

The only thing that needs to be done afterwards is get your keys retrained from memory ... and that would need to be done through the WDS system at Ford.

just tryed putting a high series bem and ecu from vct motor (smartlock) into au ute (smartshield)...wired up a smartlock barrel and it all works fine...well at least it runs (havent checked everything yet tho)...
now to find a vct head...anyone? |
