Default Not Starting - 6cyl

After all these good days.. The AU is being stubborn.

Got up this morning to start it, after a very cold morning. Started to crank, except died as though it had a dead battery. Tried to roll start it, and no go.

It was still clicking, when I was trying to start it.

And tonight, I reset the computer, checked a couple fuses/relays. And tried to jump start it again. And now, when I turn the key, no go. Not even a click.

I tried my spare key, thinking it was the immobilizer inside the key. Nup.

I can hear the fuel pump turning on. Any ideas?

When I hooked up my Tuner it gave me these codes under the "DCT":

P0325 knk s 1
CIR ER 1 s 1
P1358 ign diag
SIG OUT RANGE

Now, I'm not too sure if these are the error codes that happened, or I got them previous to this incident..

I just looked up those codes, and P0325 is knock sensor error. And the P1358 is CPU failure...

Hrmmmmm.. great!!

Anyone had these problems or know of them?

Thanks boys & girls!

Sorry to hear of the issue you're having LG.

I wouldn't worry about the knock sensor one, I'm sure lots of us have had that one from time to time.

It's the CPU failure that I'd be really concerned about. When you got the manual conversion done, did you get a manual cpu or did you get the auto item flashed?

It's an AUII S Manual ECU - Coded to suit my BEM/BCM, and Ignition Barrel.

But I'm not 100% sure, whether that is the code that is wrong, or that code occurred a few weeks ago.. But it has to be the case i think. :(

The failed cpu code seems pretty terminal to me. I've never heard of one letting go before. That's not to say it hasn't happened.

Perhaps you could put your old auto cpu in and have it coded. It will rev at about 1,500 revs and the thermos will stay on (no signal from not having an auto box!) and get it flash tuned. This is what ClassicAU did, but the car revved higher for longer than normal when cold.

The best option would be to get another manual computer and have it coded to your car again.

Just to be on the safe side, call a trusted mechanic or auto elec (or Ford) to discuss it.

All the best with it.
