au3 xr8 vibration/growl between30-40kph when decelerating?

as title says my xr8 makes a growling noise and vibration when slowing down. only happens between about 30-40kph regardless whether im braking or just coasting. replaced front rotors/pads about 3000kms ago.
could it possibly be front bearings?
or worse, diff?

any thought would be much appreciated

A bit more info maybe if you can. Manual ? auto ? Ks. what end the noise appears to coming from ?

just had a wheel balance, didnt fix it
it hard to tell whether its coming from the front or the rear

could be handbreak shoes?

possibly your tire type. Certain tread patterns can cause particular vibrations.

Also check your uni joints? Could it be also wheel bearing noise?

tyres have been noisy since new(about 12000km ago),the fronts are very feathered on the edges of the blocks.
replaced rear wheel bearings about 10000km ago. havent done fronts.
uni's are good.
diff seems to have fair bit of backlash though.
just picked my parents up from the airport, seemed to be worse when it is loaded up making me think it could the diff or gearbox.

if this is the case, carrier bearing in the diff? the au's had cheap chinese bearings in from factory. a diff specialist could be the best person to talk to.

Check the harmonic balancer too. I had a bad vibration at 1500-1700rpm which was most noticeable when decelerating. Threw on a new one and she's sweet as.
