Default (VIC) Heathcote Park Drags 23/08/2009 - Pics & Review

So it started at 7am - Car was already packed and ready to go

Had to first go to St Vincents Hospital to pick up a mate who had day leave and then drive to Laverton to the meeting point

All the Emergency Signs Said The Westgate Bridge was closed Arrrrrrrrrrrg and it would be open at 8am, took a gamble and was on it at around 8.30am

So then got to the meeting point at Lavertoo to meet up with the starters at around 9.30am

The Starters:-
1. DIFFWA
2. Clarke AV
3. Billman87
4. Sorted
5. Diffwa's Mate in a Turbo 4x4
6. Diffwa's Mate in a Holden VE SS or was it a CHEV .......lol

We had to wait for Mr Holden/Chev to turn up so we left around 10.30am :(

Turbo 4x4 decided he wont run as his car had just been finished on Sat Night and it was un-tuned - i was a bit dis-appointed with that as the 4x4 would of been a great tow vehicle for my car if i blew it up lol

Anyway first stop was the Petrol Station for fuel

Here is Mr Holden/Chev

Here is the Sticker we stuck on his car - too funny

The Red Cars

We were a bit worried about the weather - here are some weather pics

Nearly there and its clearing up

On the way there we saw about 20 to 30 X-Series cars heading back to Melbourne - XA's XB's XC's XW's XY's and the like

When we got there we Paid $50 entry for Racing for each for each car and $15 for spectators

The place was packed - our entrant numbers were over 250 - can't remember the exact number

We parked our cars

We helped this Guy Load up his car - what a monster

As the place was so busy we decided we would not run and just watch, we handed back our entry forms and got $35 back each on them so basically it was $15 each

Clarke AV didnt want to watch and he went home - SLACKER

As I was having low pressure issues and after discussing with members of AFF i shouldnt be running 10w 40 oil - I should be running 20w 50 - says engines over 100,000 klms, couldnt find the one for engines over 300,000klms

Here is my helper

I was getting rubbished anout all my tools as they look brand new - yes i do use them - i just dont get them dirty

we changed it - well DIFFWA changed it - thanks mate

Some of the cars that were playing:-

10second E-Series

Cant Drive this E-Series on the Road no more - opps

Another Turbo - this car is a WPN

And randoms

This shows how long the queue was - it went out the back and then back around

We Tried to Set up MR HOLDEN/CHEV against this F6 BUT by the time they both got to the front to race one of the lanes was closed due to an oil spill

Great to see Sinan running low 10's in the EL. Not bad considering its not a "serious" build yet :P

Pretty sure that blue EL is owned by the same bloke who owns EZY10 (XF Turbo)

ETA on my wagon is around a month or so, will head up when its done.

Use the Bulk UpLoader on Photobucket - it will load all your pics in one go - just select which pics, choose the size 800x600 and load up - easy as

Nice Claim of Power - that would make it to the top of the list of e-series with RWKW, more than EBXR8240, FRITZZ, TUFED6 and PYROAY - yeah it ran but I am unsure what it ran though - maybe some one else knows

10.24@ 138.16mph was what the other EL got - the Rajab Car

do a search for EZY10, the blue EL is running the engine/turbo/lpg combo from that car.
hence the radiator and powersteering pump setup.

I'm usually up there, but I've retired my BA from racing and the ute just isnt fast enough yet. I wont race until I can hit 14's with it.
