Hey all,
I've heard diff ratios are a good mod for au's, was just wondering what's the best ratio.. As far as I know I have 3.45 as it's a au2 xr6 vct manual. I go on the highway sometime so I don't want the revs to be to high at 110.. Also what gains would I expect.. And how hard would it be to put the ratios in myself. Thanks for any help. |

3.9's would be quite a good ratio for the manual..
even 3.7's may do you if you're worried about the revs at 110....

what about an auto at 110-115kph? running 3.9 gears? whats they normally run at (revs)

Alright, what's the difference with 3.7s, I mean will it be better/faster then stock up high or low down

Don't waste your time with 3.7's, the differance from .345's will be minimal and not worth the expense.

Exactly right - for a manual you may as well stay with 3.45. To notice any performance difference you would have to go to 4.1s and then you'll be revving her tits off on the highway.

mick you could have just messaged me about this lol. i done this mod in my first au. 3.45 to 3.7 wouldnt be really worth it. i went from 3.08 to 3.45 in my first au and the difference wast that great and that was a fair jump. c*nt

I've got 3.9 in my manual and can tell you there is better way to spend $1500.
