Default AU XR8 - TE50 Wheels

Hey guys, got my sights set on a set of TE50 wheels for my AU Series 1 XR8. Would they fit ? and has any one got any pictures of TE50 wheels on a XR Series AU Falcon.

Cheers

They are a bolt on fit. AU offsets never changed between then & now. I think the FG still runs the same offset.

AFAIK, there are 2 offsets. Commonly referred to as "AU" & "pre AU"

There are two types of Azzuros, but both have same offset. One fits over Brembos (back of spokes is machined for clearance) and the other doesn't

Do the Azzuros also run a staggered offset from front to back like the later B series GT's do??

No Donny, only the T3 5 spokes had rear offset in the AU range.
Azzuro's are the same front and back.

Cool, thats good info to know.. Thanks. If I get myself a set down the track I know I wont have to worry about staggered offsets..

but lots of cleaning, though they do look great after the hard work - T3 5spoke are the GO imo.

The cleanings one of the things Im conscious of, and prolly the only downside to the Azzuros..
The T3 5 Spokes look nice, but I dont want staggered offset wheels on the car. Im not a fan of that idea..

You can buy 4 'front' wheels with the standard offset, they will fit on the back fine, the 5 spokers look great on AU XR's

Eagle wheel cleaner makes cleaning any wheel a breeze. spray on, let it soak, and wash off with hose.

That sounds like a good idea. Id want 5 wheels tho. Could be a tad expensive..

That sounds just like right the product for me...

Id love a set of BF2 GT-P wheels and ditch the fpv caps.. But Id prefer to go 18's personally. Cheaper tyres, less harsh ride etc..
I doubt I will ever fit brembos, their too costly.. I need to maintain some perspective for my car cost wise, as its only ever going to be a daily driver..

Geez I miss my old T3 rims, they would look great on the blue ute. Might have to buy another set.

T3 rims are the best wheel to ever grace a falcons hubs! I still want a set for my XR.
