Default Grr AU III Egas Ute no start

Hi guys, need some help here with the old mans ute...

The old man was complaining that recently the car was getting harder and harder to start, to the point where it isn't starting at all.

Basically the starter motor clicks 3-4 times, then stops, even if I'm holding the key in the "start" position. I've tried replacing the battery with a known good battery, as well as jump starting the car, all without success. I've tried starting the car in both Park and Neutral, both producing the same result; no start.

Do you think it could be a bad starter motor, or something else?

Cheers!

Well you don't have to reply guys, I found the issue!

Battery!!!

For whatever reason, the old mans battery and my battery (out of my BFII sedan) combined wasn't enough to start the car. But I can take my battery and place it in my car, and start it no problems. Figure that out...

Anywho, got a known good battery, chucked her in, and the old mans ute started straight away! Just need to go out and get him a new battery...

Yeah its a weird one...

The battery from my car (BFII Egas Sedan) can start my car, but wouldn't start the old mans AUIII Egas ute...

Looks like he'll be needing a new battery. I'll make sure the battery he buys comes with some sort of lifting strap/handle. It's a pain in the rectum removing a battery without a strap/handle, while trying not to damage the battery box!
