And the hottest Rockabilly chick going, Danielle from American Pickers, she's a Burlesque dancer, a former roller derby queen and a tattooist and is into cars and bikes, her husband is one hell of a lucky guy on all counts.

I've been gong to rockabilly gigs since I was 15 or so courtesy of my oldest brother who has played stand up bass in numerous bands here in Melbourne.

Longest lastin band he is in is Rockbottom James and the Detonators. Also has a country band called Cold Heart that plays here in Melbourne a bit.

Find Richard Hawley for some awesome rockabilly inspired music, he is out of UK.

some great rockabilly down under. i happened to see this while watching some of the other vids. two of the vids require me to sign in to view, so ill try that in a few minutes.

ps. we just got a 41 desoto "hack job" in the shop a young landy wants to use as a daily driver. whoever did the initial work preserved a lot of stuff, but also mangled a lot. i could strangle the fella who tubbed it.

anyhow, thought this would fit in well.

my dad has the identical name of an east coast rockabilly performer over here. tey even used to paly on live radio atthe same nightclub in washington dc back in the late 40s, early 50. from a distance as they grew older they even developed similar appearances, which led to a lot of confusion, even in recent articles of the times.

difference was, my dad played hillbilly music for jimmy dean along with roy clark and a fella named don owens...who had a tragic death.

jimmy dean was always ****ed off at roy clark and would sit hm out at many live performances and put my dad in his place.

my dad was given a big music contract but he turned it down. didnt like the traveling lifestyle and enjoyed lumber jacking more.

go figure. you do, what you do.

which i could get a trip down there to attend. one fella around here offered me free airline tickets for life if id build hm a killer street racing motor.

i i expressed my appreciation for his confidence but made two points very clear:

1. any serious engine i build will only race at a track at a sanctioned event.

2. how long can i trust the airline he worked for would be in business ?

no worries. folks like you can share photos.
