I saw an AU XR with a ST sticker on the boot below the XR badge today. A quick google search shows that this is on many other cars. What did the 'ST' mean and was it a Tickford special edition? I can't find any info, its got me puzzled. Cheers

Runout edition XR6 VCT. Available in red, blue black or silver from memory. Had 18" Azzuros, leather trim, momo wheel and a few other little extras.
Mechanically they are no different.

The ST was originally going to be called an XR6 Sprint however it was decided that it would not be appropriate due to the XR8 Sprint in the ED(?) so they simply shortened the name to the first and last letters... ST.
