Front left corner of the ute is making this creaking noise when going over speed bumps or driveways.
Ideas what to check? |

Sam, are you sure the creak is from the front left. I had and identified a creak coming from the right rear shock of my FG ute.
Jiggle the rear of the ute by hand, see if you can still hear the noise.

Get a friend to push down on each corner of the car while you listen to see if you can hear the creaking noise.

99% certain it is the front left. But will do the push down each corner test with a mate to confirm. It appears only on the rebound, I think.

Ball joints?
They'll usually make more noise when steering though. You could always stick the car on ramps, lay underneath & do some pull ups on the K frame. Trace the noise & get some exercise at the same time! |

Creak id say first up check sway bar bushes.
Generally any bush can creak depending. Never heard a shock creak, but also never installed an assembly incorrectly. Really need to get it on a hoist to locate it.
