Looks like a typical old farmers back paddock...some of those are good for a pick-a-part and that's about it.

They won't part with them and let the elements destroy interior and body over the years. In the end time runs out as they have no hope in hell of fixing them all .

There's a Centura listed as a Valiant sedan and a Ford XT wagon there listed as a Valiant wagon. What is it with these researchers, or probably more so, the monkey who actually walked around the cars and wrote, sorry, typed the description on their ipad. Doesn't anyone proof read this stuff first before it's published?

True but if you're the person walking around the car and putting down the details, how bloody hard is it to look at the badge on the boot or tailgate. Ok, the Centura I get if there's no Centura badges on it for some reason but how do you walk around a ford wagon and not spot at least 1 ford tell tale. Have a look at the pics of the XT and the odometer reads 50897.2 MILES yet it's listed as 508,972km. In fact most of the cars are listed in kms.

If you don't know that a pre mid 70s' car is in MPH then you're in the wrong job. Either that or you need a slap for letting some just out of school, spotty teen do the job without supervision or without proof reading their work.

I imagine some of those will bring in some decent coin. May look bad, but Canberra's dry climate probably means they arnt anywhere near as bad as they look.

The Falcon coupe and those Capri's will get snapped up, there's value in panels alone.

Theres some classic euros in there that are very rare and maybe worth $$$ as rough as they are restored might bring some coin if you have all the bones anything can be restored these days people are making moulds and parts on 3d printers now to patern parts the cost might astronomical but it can be done.

Jay leno has his own 3d printer and some whizz bang scaning 5 axis tracing arm he says he can make any part he wants then get's it made in metal and says he is restoring cars he could only dream off even 10 years ago he was shoving how they made a waterpump that was all rotted out for some one off car he had under restoration so I guess anything can be done you just need his cdoin

The Valiant nuts will be going troppo over this one.

EDIT: Christ I didnt know there was so many other makes. Whoever this farmer was must have been a massive hoarder. That XA/XB coupe, looks like it may have been Lime Glaze originally, was that colour available across the range?

I'm pretty sure that most of these came from the old semi industrial area at the back of Belconnen near where the old tip was (I live in the area).

I saw about 10 or 12 flat bed tow trucks carrying car bodies out from the area a couple of weeks ago, there used to be a couple of wreckers there.

The area is being cleaned up in preparation for a massive new suburban development.

Cheers.

That's got to be a typo because 4/70 is pre XA let alone XC. They wouldn't be screwing together XC panels before they'd even released the XA, which was 72. XC wasn't released till mid 76 and they had XB in between.

Someones had a brainstorm and jumped on the "classic" bandwagon here?
10-15 years ago, the developers would have just got Sims mobile crusher in for the lot.

I shared the link with a cous' in Canberra. He's a Valo' nut & I guarantee he'll be eyeing those coupes closely.
He's just finished building up a Supra with a twin turbo 1JZ but loves his classics. He once owned a P76 with an illegally fitted racing V8 engine underhood. Was a promising project 'til someone stole, stripped & burnt it!

I owned a KB Centura years ago. Man I should've kept it. They were built like tanks but super lightweight.
A worked 265 with 3 side draft webbers is all you'd need.

Spied the Sigma coupe. How rare would that thing be?

It amazes me how People will throw Good money at bad,
There's a few Projects there Like the F150, but the majority should have gone straight to the scarp yard, it would be had to recover the money from the Transportation of them.
But Pickles Know what they are doing, they will end up making some coin out of it.
Perhaps another Farmer will buy some so they can sit in their Paddock for a few more years..
