"The updated 2015 Chrysler 300 rear-wheel-drive sedan has rolled into town, sporting a host of changes wrapped in that signature bold, muscular body design.
The launch Chrysler 300 range comprises a rationalised range of variants — the 300C priced at $49,000 plus on-road costs (up $2500) and the 300C Luxury at $54,000 (up $3000). The old 300 Limited entry version and mid mid-range 300S have both been dropped. Both the 300C and 300C Luxury are powered by the 210kW/340Nm Pentastar 3.6-litre V6 engine matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Combined-cycle fuel consumption is claimed to be 9.4 litres per 100km in 300C trim and 9.7L/100km in the 300C Luxury. This means the local demise of the 176kW/550Nm 3.0 diesel engine option, which was a $5000 extra and a slow seller. In 6-8 weeks time, the 300 SRT8 versions with the brutal 6.4-litre Hemi V8 will arrive. As we know, Australia is now the lead market for that vehicle globally — at one stage it was the only market in the world to put its hand up. The 300 SRT8 Core is set to be priced from $59,000 in Core guise, climbing to $69,000 for the higher-spec version — both $3000 increases. Public data suggest small power and torque bumps, up to 350kW/637Nm (up 3kW/6Nm). A new eight-speed auto will be fitted." Read more at http://www.caradvice.com.au/368376/2...BI8G1uROXtW.99

I'm torn over weather they have improved the look or made it worse...
That bottom part of the front bumper looks really odd

I like the improvements, softens it and makes it a bit more modern. Over time the 300 is looking more and more Australian.

The 8 speed is a cracker in the SRT GC, so should make the SRT 300 a lot better to drive.
The 5 speed was ancient.

I must admit to having soft spot for the 300C Chryslers.
This one looks pretty good, the wheels suit the car. But that number plate just looks off.

Had one of these as a long term rental in San Fran last year and must say was a very comfortable car to live with. Would seriously consider buying one.

the new model looks nice in person, I saw it in the states earlier in the year. I certainly still has presence.
I am jelly of the cross stitched leather. I would like it in my 300c luxury. I am not a fan of the number plate placement at the front of the 2015 model, as a result of centring the radar and the rotary gear selector. I prefer my gear lever in my model. nice car and is a solid mid gen update. I can't wait for the 3rd gen in 2018/19, the quality and features just keep getting better.

Updated SRT models look pretty good. I like the dark lights and grill much better.
The Core model at $59k is not bad value for what it is. Also I dont see why they could not put the slim front plate under the main grill instead of on the side. http://www.caradvice.com.au/368420/2...to-price-hike/ ![]()

Thats the 300s (so no adapt cruise).. u will find the fully loaded SRT N Luxury models have the radar postion right in the middle now, where on my model MY12 (2013 build) its to the side, so any plate in the middle of the front bumper will interfere with it.

It may not be so easy with some of the higher spec cars. I think that sensor in the middle of the lower front grille in the car below is for cars fitted with the Safety Tec Systems for the Full-Speed Collision Warning with Active Braking system and Park Assist. A number plate there would block that front sensor. I'd put a plate just above that sensor in the gap between the two grilles. Edit: Sorry I should have read what chopstar87 posted. ![]() |

Would these be eligible not to run a front plate?

Don't worry. The AU's auto is miles ahead of the Jeep's 5 speed.

I see they have also dropped the TDi, I guess most people who buy a 300 want a V8?
Shame, definitely a car I would want to have, would be better than a 4 pot sedan for cruising etc.

I've only driven a 300 SRT a couple of times, and found it to be better than the GC, although I've not driven enough to comment specifically how it is day to day.
However, in the previous Jeep SRT the 5 speed auto was nothing short of crap for normal driving. Gear hunting, never seemed to grab the right gear, unusual changes (sometimes smooth, more often harsh). Wasn't a fan at all. I did come from driving the FG with the ZF 6 speed, so jumping into a Jeep with the 5 speed, it was to me very noticeable how behind the 5 speed was at that point (be they different types of vehicle).

you might be thinking of the Lincoln continental concept... that was a sweet concept. I am a big fan of it! and hopefully it gets here, but I doubt it. as its not a Ford model and they wont bring the Taurus, so I don't see it getting here either. :(

Like the back end, tail lights look nice.
Front end not so much, the Red SRT8 looks ok, but not the one in the OP. Cars without front number plates look heaps better. It was the first thing i noticed after pulling out of Miami Airport onto the expressway looking in my mirror at all the cars coming flying up behind me. |

One of the guys over on the 300 forums has taken delivery of the first Australian SRT8, and has posted some pics. Quite nice for a mid life upgrade.

i never thought any car would make the front of an Au forte look pretty , but the big chrysler does it for me , no doubt it would grow on me just the same and id still enjoy driving one, but , not a fan of the front end.
