Default IRS toe rod ends

Guys,

Just changed the IRS rear tie rod ends, took it for a test drive and the rear end is swaying, it all went together OK. What have I done wrong?

Cheers

Its got to have a wheel alignment now.

The other thing that can cause the swaying is a stuffed rear wheel bearing. Jack it up and check if you can wobble the wheel

Needs a wheel alignment and it'll be good.

Gee, I wouldn’t think it would be that bad, there is a hell of a lot of movement, nevertheless I will get it done. I think the wheel bearings are OK, I will check anyway.

Cheersd

If wheel bearing is gone don't worry about the wheel alignment until thats sorted.

Plenty of threads covering rear wheel bearing woes in here. Search function is your friend

Fellas,

Rear wheel alignment done yesterday, problem fixed cost $77.00. Rear link pins and toe rods done. More bushes to be done in the future, maybe able to do these without removing the IRS. Needs to be up on the hoist for a thorough inspection, very difficult on the garage floor.

Cheers for the heads up everyone, very helpful.
