i would upgrade to the Tibbe locks being EA. to put them in you need to pull the doortrim off undo the door handle and and then undo the clip[ and the barrel will come out.

i have a full set off tibbe locks and key if your interested ;)

if you are going to do a tibbe mod, be aware to do the ignition you will need a tibbe version of the bit that clamps to the steering column..

how exactly they get in?

worn locks?

cheers...

you have two options.

1. Tibbe conversion on door locks, meaning you will have two keys,

or

2. Go to a locksmith and get new door locks keyed up to your existing keys

both options will keep u secure

1. see what john wants for them... i dont think he will separate though..

2. call 0414411999 (Rob) (can quote you on both)

but surely try keep deals amongst forums members first..

maybe it might be best to get the complete mod kit and over time change it over...

if you are going to do the doors, you may as well do the boot as well..

ive got all the bits sitting at home.. just need to get around to it..

I just converted my EA to tibbe locks.

The only parts you will need for a tibbe conversion are:

Tibbe barrel - Can be sourced from wreckers. Make sure you have a key so you can remove the old lock. $20 approx
Tibbe lock kit - I sourced mine from Ford. Came with ignition lock, both door locks and the boot lock all keyed alike : which I was very happy with. $140.00
2 new shear bolts - Also sourced from Ford $2

You can get the old barrel off by cutting a groove into the Shear bolt with a hacksaw blade and then removing with a flat-head screwdriver. Very easy but a little time consuming. Loosen the 2 small recessed flat-head screws at the back of the barrel and remove the wire hub that slides into the back of the barrel. Install new barrel!

Door locks are a sinch but you will need to remove the door handles. Boot requires the removal of the garnish, number plate and inside boot cover but again fairly painless.

A worthwile upgrade if you ask me!

Cheers,
Mark.
