Sorry to say dude, but that is pretty bad. You really needed to remove the rocker cover before you painted it, and personally i would have left the intake snorkel black...

I would have removed the air intake pipe and painted the rockercover off the car

looks neat and clean, under a bonnet of your will show how much pride you take in your car..
if your handy, think about making a box for the pod filter keep it away from the heat...

Its 10 to 12 and i have just finished painting the lounge room of our house and looking at your rocker cover I would say i've done a mighty fine job of my lounge room.
Matey your engine bay looks really nice and clean why have you covered half of it in red paint?

You should've found this forum before you popped the top off your spray can.
I was once like you mate, but then I learnt a whole lot by pulling stuff off. I hope you stick around though. After reading some of the comments in this thread I wouldn't be! Sundeep |

sorry man but that is REALLY BAD... you painted over your leads, throttle cable, vacuum hoses, rocker cover bolts.. yikes. the intake snorkel isn't even painted properly. you should strip the paint off of everything you painted... then everything you want to paint take it out of the engine bay and do it properly.

Hahahahahah sik! LOL LOL LOL
Personally, I think you should top it off by painting the remaining components in the same colour. Would look nuts! : :dj:

Tickford anyone? :
Well I give you a 5/10 for effort 2/10 for execution 10/10 for having the jatz crackers to post the pictures. And man oh man that is going to stink like poop, you put emanel paint on the exhaust shield. That will melt and burn for weeks But I'll try and give you some advice, goto Supercheap and buy a tin of thinners and a toothbrush then SLOWLY go over all the bits that shouldn't be red. We are taking the mickey out of you mate because that is a 'tad' rough but enjoy the forums and you'll learn plenty My tip of the day "DONT TRY AND PAINT YOUR BRAKE CALIPERS!" :

just stick a can of red paint in there, tape some firecrackers to it & close your bonnet. that'll do a better job. :
In all seriousness mate, nice car but next time pull the rocker cover off before you paint it. Post up some pics of your ride yeah?

Looks good man, well done!
Pod filters sound nice, but you'll find they aren't great for performance as they draw in too much hot air. Ash

Pods are good if you heat shield them or mount them in an air box (a big one)

Mate to be honest, you may aswell paint everything else exept the engine bay and it might look better.. I think you should get the paint off all the cables etc, buy a new oil cap, and perhaps get some more thinner... ;)
