Default How many RWKW??

Hey Guys,

The EF is going on the dyno next Wednesday. Just wondering what sort of power I should expect with the mods listed in my sig. Is 150rwkw a bit optimistic?

Daniel.

i pulled 130 with a fairly stuffed bottom end and stock head... so i think you should manage 140.. possibly close to 150 who knows

mine managed 129.9 hitting the speed limiter, judging by the LPG curve under it, there would be ~132rwkw or so in it.

I'm pulling 127.1 in mine with dodgy fuel mixtures and apart from the head work i got about the same mods as you.

lol - my first run with 1004-110 and headwork got a massive 122rwkw (it was on a conservative dyno). If the computer doesnt like the mods you dont get much. Never got much better than that with the 1004 either.

Id be banking on 140rwkw, any more and your in luck. 1004 110's often throw out stock ecu's fuel maps.

Mine ran 142rwkw with no head work (14.5:1 AFR) with serious fuel problems.

Well it's D-Day. It goes on the dyno in a hour. It's a lovely 10 deg miserable day as well

I'll post the graph up as soon as I get back.

190rwhp, but won't have a printout till monday because the shop have to replace their printer :( . Was hoping for a little more, but I don't think the car is running 100%. Can't complain though I guess.

Time for a 1521a and a chip I feel! lol

What other sort of things should I be looking at improving? The car is running the completely stock intake so I think there may be some power to gain by playing round with that side of things.

With 146 I ran 14.8@95mph first time out with a 3.08 open wheeler diff. You should be able to beat that with 141 and 3.45 LSD.

Depends what the rest of the graph is like though, peak power doesnt tell the whole story.

I'll post the graph up as soon as I get it.

At the moment the car seems to have an intermitent flat spot around 2-2500rpm so I think that is hindering performance a bit and the fact that I am still running the auto ECU with the ISC disconnected.

I found on my EA with the ISC disconnected and idle turned up that my TPS fluctuated quite badly, reconnected the ISC and got a solid reading, I suggest you check the TPS for a steady voltage reading, and look to block off the ISC instead.

Cool, can you PM what you find out or post it here, as I am interested to know if my car is just being a real pain due to other issues, or if all cars do the same thing.

IDENTICAL power to what I made.

I ran 15.44@90.4MPH in an AUTO before my 1521a cam, so im thinking you will run 14's easy

That is what I did - partially block the ISC. You need to get the base idle roughly right, then the little play the ISC has keeps it from stalling when turning, a/c is on, or on cold mornings.

I used 3mm holes for in and out and works well.
