hi all,
went to start my eb fairmiont today and it was kicking over but wouldnt get running. so i called the racv and the bloke rekons its the distributor module thats shagged.... any one got an idea how much it would cost to fix and where to get them from? cheers, dale |

You mean a TFI modual. They can be purchased from most auto stores. I normally get a few from pickapart or wreckers as they are cheap as ($5 i think)
its held on my 2x screws on the side of the dizzy

oh so there not a massive thing, i thought theyd be like a starter motor size. would it be a big job to do myself?

they are not a big thing as such, size wise :P
if you have a Gregorys manual, it will tell you how exactly to do this. Not hard once you have done it once. Depends on how good you are with cars ;)

yeah they always pack up if you get moisture in them. try squirting some WD40 on the connections first. Otherwise, Nick-a-Part will have them, just make sure you get one from a 'half decent' wreck. They are a grey box located on the side of the distributor.
