My car was way retarded when it would not rev about 2grand

run the timing to about 10deg advanved see if it pings and revs out more, if not you will be on the right track.

limp mode should be 3rd gear only, it will still rev all the way out, will just be very slugish off the line and driving along, can you rev it above 2 in neutral

to test ISC is very simple, turn idle down till the car is at about 500rpm, then disconnect the ISC, if it stalls it is working, if it doesnt notice then it is doing nothing

Have you checked the TPS is at 1v at closed throttle and max of 4.5v at WOT.

with ign on (car not started) the green wire is the positive lead, and then earth the multimeter to the body, then with a reading, turn the throttle to WOT by hand and see what it says.

OK TPS is supposed to be 1 at closed, so loosen the screws and try adjust it to be in spec, if not adjustment left, then elongate the holes to give you the adjustment.

Tip: Easy way to allow adjustment for testing to decide if its the problem is remove one screw and leav eit out then you can get it within spec tighten remaining screw and test

Are you still using the CFI dizzy as they have no PIP signal for TDC this could be your problem.

it was not the dizzy at all it was the fact with the cfi ecu wiring loom some of the wires did not match up to the mpfi loom with some help from my dad i rewire the isc back to the ecu and the car goes great just to let people now there are a few differnces between
some of the wiring looms that are easy to fix thats not shown in the www.ford-tech.com doco

Umm yes it does tell you where to run the wire from the CFI ISC wiring loom to the MPFI loom, it says so in the document I sent you... which was a copy of the Ford-tech.com document. :voldar02:
