The tint was done today and it looks hot,now its time for the exhaust to add a bit of a note, any surgestions????  : |

cat-back is cheapest. i went cat-back first off and got the extractors bout 6 weeks afterwards.

Removing any mufflers would make things a bit louder, but the extractors would give it the extra growling burble note.
Go for a 2.5" straight through single muffler exhaust. And if your worried about droaning on freeways, get a resonator too. But I've heard a few people say without the reso theyve been satisfied.

although a cat-back is cheaper, if you plan to get extractors in the future, you'll save more having everything done at once.
The Lukey extractors/Redback catback option seems like a bang-for-buck combo, but there are so many different combos to choose from  : Carefully think about what you want to do to your car before getting it done. You'll save money by getting 3 things done at once rather than one at a time. EG, I picked up an intake manifold at the start of the year but I'm not getting it fitted until I have my heads as well (in the VERY near future). Sure, I've lost 6 months of a bit of extra power, but I've also saved a couple of hundred bucks by not having the top of my engine pulled off twice  As for those of you who can do that stuff yourself, I envy you!-Dave- |

Redback cat back + pacy 4480's gives a unique note.
Catback should be arround $250 installed.

I just got a 2.5" lukey mid section with a straight through muffler, $119 @ repco on trade account and a redback 2.5" straight through tail-pipe for $84 @ local exhaust joint.
Running a standard cat with factory headers and it gives off quite a nice note with no droning when cruizing. I'm a happy one....

Full Redback Cat back system, wether single muffler, muffler + hotdog or muffler + 2nd muffler, should be WELL under $300.

Yeah anything more than 300 your getting ripped. I'd get Midas to define what they mean by sports exhaust...you dont want another standard system with a fancy tip on the end :P
Tell them the exact brand and setup type your after and all will be happy Do ya know exactly what your after? Something with a deep prrr note and some growl  :

Redback and Lukey seem to be the go for pipes quality wise (redback are Australian ;)), extractors...Pacemaker are great, got some myself, and Lukey and Genie are also good from what I've heard.
Check out peoples signatures on the forums, that'll give you an idea of what people have. I went for a Redback/Pacemaker setup and have loved it ever since :hihi:  :
