Angry Damn car parks

you wouldn't friggin believe it

In front of 3 different reception areas and a mob of council workers a woman has backed her rav 4 into the back of my xr6 and smashed my drivers side tail light. whats worse is she got out, had a look and friggin drove off. no note no nuthin.

when i was checking the car a lady from one of the reception areas came out and told me that she was just in and she had a logo on her work shirt. i then called the business name on the logo of her shirt, and asked if there was a lady that drives that car and if she was in southport. the reception girl goes oh thats buggerlugs. I told her to give me a call cause she just backed into my car then drove off!

after many calls during the day to her i finally got through to her and she was all apologetic and stuff saying that she should have left her name and so forth. She reckons she was going to come back but i reckon thats a load of baloney. Lucky she had that logo on her shirt.

Any way now i've got to find a tail light and then get the money out of her to get it.

Might pop into the wreckers on the way to work, but how much you guys reckon for the tail light?

mate lucky there were helpful witnesses...Typical attitude though once she was caught out she turned into a shoulda, coulda, woulda...was gunna.

It makes your blood boil at times....Have had similar experiences. Good luck getting her to fork out the dough though. I don't know if reporting the incident to the cops would help as usually they only do anything if over certain amount but may be worthwhile if they see it as a hit and run type of traffic offence....

Your probably not the first or the last that she has done/will do it to.

Kinda lucky i couldn't get a hold of her this morining, it wasn't until lunch that i had calmed down enough not to yell down the phone.

A similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago with my other EF, except no note and $600 bucks of my money later (still under my excess at the time).

i had just got the shell of my car painted and towed home from the spray shop and a former mate of mine put a ding in the rear quarter with his passenger door, after i told him to watch out for it.... he appoligised and promised me he would pay for it,, when i told him the price of $360 and i was gonna pay for the towing, he refused to pay and said that i should pay half... i ended up getting $240 out of him.. payed the extra myself.....its just so anoying when you put all that effort in getting the car straight and painted and before your project is finished, it already has been damaged.......not good when your 18 and going to tafe.......
