Im with Just Car Insurance, and I have never paid anywhere near that much, even when I owned a fully imported '90 Corona with 'zorst and mags (and that was $1600/year, comp), I have been quoted around $1000 (comp) and I am paying $370 (3PFT) for my 12/89 EAII S-pac

I'm with Just Car, full comp. $1836. Still a rating 6. how long does it normally take for your rating to get better, if you have no accidents or claims etc?

I'm with RACV, 3rd party (2nd in jan) and paid about $2000. Insured it for $32000.
When I was looking, only three companies would insure an under 25yo with an XR6. Just car quoted me $3500. |

My rating has gone to the sh*t, (2 at-faults, 7/02 and 4/05) I think i am rating 5 or 6, but I am on my second year with JCI and I dont think there is anyone better on the market with a more competitive price.

I just did a bit of calling around to insurance co. and these are the results.
Just Cars full comp under my name with all mods covered $780.00 per year. RACV full comp under my name with all mods covered $870.00 per year. AAMI, wont insure me as I am under 25. Allianz, wont insure me as I am under 25.

I pay 600 full comp for my car, with all mods listed and covered for. With my insurance, racv have written all the mods as "NOTES", so they dont actually change the premiums. I thought dis sounded sus, but i have spoken to 4 people about this, and they all say its legit. I have also had the policie sent out to me with all mods listed, so im right.
In december i go rating 3, and insurance premium goesdown to 500 i think. When my car was stock, i found it hard to get insurance. And the average price was 900. Just car being the highest at 1600. Gubas

RACV are ok, they gave me $8000 agreed value for $690 a year. That also includes stereo and 2K in wheels that are only worth $700-800 haha
For anyone having trouble with insurance on modded cars, try "Young & Cool" in Sydney, gay name I know. Just watch the policies as I insured my subi with them 3 years ago and they wouldnt cover me on dirt roads :yeees: They are usualy one or the other, well price or shockingly priced - But worth a shot. |
