Default G-Tech accuracy?

Has any one used a G-Tech,and how accurate are they? I bought one and tried it in my car (225+kw Sprint) and it told me 302 HP and 13.5 1/4 mile!! How cool!

The only issue with the most of them is that they go to 60 MPH which is technically only like 96 kmh, so when they say it take 6.9s to get to 0-60MPH, i'd add a tenth or two to compensate the extra 4 kays to get to 100 km/h

I wouldn't rely on it, although it's probably a good guide. I tried one about 12 months ago. I compared my ef to my ea. EF - rebuilt 4.0 with a few go fast bits, and a tidy auto, 17.9 1/4. EA - flogged like crazy oil shootin 3.9 CFI with a busted 5 spd and bald tyres, 15.2 We had a few attempts on each and they were the averages. I really do doubt that the EA was that quick, or that the EF was that slow.

They are ment to be quite good. best thing to do is to take it to the strip and check it against the real clock. It is only ment as a guide and i find it useful for that but i cant duplicate a HP figure so i dont know how well that works??

In a fortnight I will be taking a gtech down the 1/4 and post up my finds.I love the gtech and 0-100 is great for tuning a car.

Too many factors to consider them remotely accurate. A tuning tool at best, and still no where near as good as a dyno or drag strip.

You are probably right but finally the critics and die hard gtech supporters will know what is going on when it goes down the track with me.

I've taken my car down the 1/4 with the gtech on. It made a lot more mph but was about half a second fast. Before anyone says it.. I spent ages getting it level.
I do believe the the new G techs are far more accurate than the old ones.
