hi,
I just installed lukey extractors, hiflow cat and redback 2.5' exhaust with one mufler. it sounds good but when i reach abt 2000 rpm it gets really loud and then dies down again at abt 2500rpm. i like the noise but is it normal?? does it mean a leak or something? |

This is called droning and its pretty normal. Best way to stop it is get a rear resonator fitted, it should get rid of the droning but will also make the exhaust a bit quieter.

I love the 'drone' of my exhaust from 1800-2600 rpm. The drone range seems to change with the temp of the exhaust, lower when cold, hotter it gets, the wider the drone range gets. After a flog along a windy road it was droning really loud up to 3000rpm.
The gurgle sounds great with a manual, I can't wait to hear it when i get my monster cam!

but u dont get the gurgle on lpg, only petrol does it for me
the car gets to 60kmph, i downshift to second and when the revs hit 2400 when deselerating, the exhaust goes bom bom bom bom. SWEET, real head turner. |
