Smile Focus 2005 CD/HeadUnit

Hi Everyone.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the tools to remove the Focus 2005 CD/HeadUnit?
Or where can I get it removed?

I want to add an Amp and a Sub to the system. Can anyone suggest any good Line Output Converters (LOC)?

Also anyone know any good car audio installers in Melbourne that can install for a good price?

Thanks.

Where are you?

If your in QLD i know where you can get it removed easily, but any dealer should be able to remove it for you.

When I wanted to get a new HU for my old Laser, JBHiFi wanted to charge me 88 bucks for the install. They said it was flat rate. So... I'm guessing it could be close to that?

I havent seen what the holes for the LS headunit looks like, but if its anything like the LR, a pair of U shape bent coathanger pieces did the job for me.

Ive got an Alpine line out converter for mine, just running off the front speakers wires, spliting the RCA outputs (off the LOC) in two to drive a 4 channel amp. Bridging one pair of RCA's to drive the sub, and using the remaining RCAs to drive the stock front speakers.

Sounds much better than stock when you LPF the sub and HPF the speakers, but after hearing some of my mate's systems, i think a new headunit and some splits are on the cards.

They dont have circle holes anymore. The holes they have are like horizontally straight. like " - ".
