Default Install stereo Falcon 1996

have no idea how to dismantle the stereo in Falcon EFI 1996. There is a panel with ONE screw on the left. This I have managed to unscrew, and then what? Everything stas in place, as before, including the stereo. Anyone has a tips what to do?

Unless your replacing that stereo with the same stereo or the mid-series from that model, i'm guessing you may need a bit of help with the wiring, if you can't work out how to take the radio surround off a E-series falcon. (its not an au, the au is 1998-2002, yours is an EF, or early EL.)

I think theres other screws under the ashtray or hidden behind the ashtray. I had one of these cars and I think the ashtray slides out, nothing holding it in place.

Try the E-Series Forum. Those guys are the expects. Maybe Casper will move both of your threads to the E-Series forums.

take the ashtray out, just pull it, there is a hole on the left, undo the screw in there, and yank the bottum of the facia it is held on by a knob going into a tough rubber thing (dont think dirty!) and then u need a security bit to take the stereo out
