my dad started my car today while i was standing in front of it. i heard a grinding noise start coming from around the front of the engine. it lasted a few seconds then went away..
i have noticed it a little lately but ive never actually been in front of the car when it was started to hear it properly until today. sounds like its a problem starting to occur.. it does have 220,000kms on it. any ideas?

Is your power steering fluid full??
It might also be a bearing in something that spins off the front belt.

yes power steering fluid should be full the car was serviced only 2 weeks ago and steers quietly. however i will check on it..
