Default Fitting a second hand diff

I am buying a second hand diff disc to disc and I was just wondering what I should do. I have just had new rear disc's put on the car, Should I put the whole diff in and change the disc's over or just put the center in? what would be easier?
Thanks.

I put a different diif in my car, i removed the brake line off the old diff and the callipers to save having to bleed the brakes, I then fitted the new diff and put my old rotors, etc all back on, no real problem.
