Im working on putting twin pistons from the AUII/BA on the EL....seeing if its a cost effective way of doing things rather than buying a aftermarket kit such as PBR.
you could find EL GT brakes they did a decent job

On Fordmods there are a few threads about EL GT and similar brakes. The conversions aren't too dear either.

You can get ADR complaince kits of 4 piston AP Racing big brakes from Cebco here in Melbourne. I'm sure they do postage, but the weight of the calipers and discs could make it cheaper to come for a drive...

I was at Hitech brakes or whatever they're called the other day looking into this, and they do a twin-pot conversion for e-series from AUII's, which open up more of the DBA rotor range (4000 & 5000 series) to us. The price is around $2k I think.

i put cross drilled and slotted on mine with hard pads and it stops really quick no abs and doesnt lock up. The EF rear brakes are bigger than normal, i think cross drilled n slotted is the best way to go.

Mine are the same calipers but i run the Cebco setup, with the hub in the disc. What is the disc you are running?

The disadvantages of crossed drilled on a street car and on a car the weight of a falcon are numerous. Reduced physical mass of the cross drilled means that they are unable to take the heat of repeated braking. Reduced physical strength of the cross drilled discs means that you have to far more regularly check the condition of the discs for fractures. If you don't bed the discs and pads in correctly it is likely you will have premature disc failure. In the case of pad replacement, you should resurface the disc to ensure accurate mating surface for effective braking - doing this with cross drilled brakes is more expensive than regular discs. As a final point, the reduced surface area means less effective braking for high speed, repetitive stops - eg track racing. Now this is usually more common with your regular discs eg the DBA's. It doesn't apply so much with the more expensive discs that are found on the FPV's with the Brembos, on AMG's and Porsche's. On these platforms the discs are expensive - probably close on 10 times more expensive than the DBA product. For best braking performance on a Falcon on a budget go with grooved + vented discs, as big as can possibly fit in your wheels and calipers. Only get cross drilled if you want them for looks. :
