Default lumpy idle

hey guys, i got a cat back exhaust on my EF, im pretty happy with it, nice and loud, but i want a bit more of a lumpy idle, im not expecting a huge v8 tone.. i'd get a v8 if i wanted a v8 sound hahaha...

yes i agree with extractors. The catback just carries the sound the is emited by the extractors and they are better free flowing anyways which is why they are such a popular mod. Also if you want a lumpier idle on a budget you could always unplug a vacume line

No not dangerous it'll just make your engine run like crap. Big cam and extractors/exhaust will do it though.

A lumpy idle after a while becomes very annoying. You just get every hoon wanting to race you. If you want your car to be a sleeper its hard to disguise.

Apparently if all your cylinders aren't firing, petrol can mix with your engine oil. Which can break your oil down. So I don't recommend unplugging a lead.

agony, a few of the guys on here have heard the ol' crate and I can say you don't need a V8 to get the idle
