Classic!!!! I remember some OT was going to use these to cool his airbox/air charge. Funny that the canister contains CO2.....

(OT = oxygen thief)

You should get a can of CO2 for your intake... they come chilled, and have two oxygen elements to every carbon element. More air, more fuel ;)

Or for a nitrous-substitute, buy a wiper bottle + pump motor and fill it with cloudy ammonia, and pipe this into your intake. When you're on-throttle, flick the wiper motor on and have it spray ammonia into the intake.

Ammonia has nitrogen and hydrogen in it ;) Nitrogen is also in nitrous... and hydrogen burns anyway, so it's fuel + NOS!!1

umm in a N2o engine it is not the nitrogen in the nitrous, it is the oxygen that it is carrying, that makes the fun.

/me knows ;) The N2 is inert (in this case). Ammonia was the first thing that came to mind which contained nitrogen, even though it's not in N2 form. And the average person recognises the nitrogen in nitrous, not the oxide (by average person, I mean those who don't really look into the composition of fuels and additives).

It should be the rest of that post of mine that has you scared...

Yes, cream gas = N20,
works on little motorbikes, they actually sell a kit for pocket bikes thats like the top of a soda water siphon, with a tube going to the carby. (you use cream bulbs)

Geez, next thing a welder will be hooking up his oxy tanks, with nitrous jets (fuel too) and he's either gona fly, or blow himself up!
But what a way to go!

now thats an idea... I might have to try that. Can you get small, high pressure oxygen bottles?

Sure can, forget what size code they are but you see plumbers using them. Pretty sure Oxy is stored at 20thou KPA. Might pinch some from work :

well that, a solenoid, and a large injector should make a cheap nitrous-like system.

full noise - open injector and gas solenoid - up oxygen pressure with regulator until mixtures are right.

geez i make it sound easy...

cya
ben

*edit, apparently some falcons run rich as at high loads anyway, might as well make things easier, just use oxygen and burn that extra 15hp of fuel...

oxygen is too unstable by itself, hence the reason it's mixed with nitrogen in nitrous oxide.

Unstable? Unstable = Nitroglycerine, Uranium isotopes, Plutonium isotopes, and any element with an atomic index number greater than 90-ish. A blast of pure o2 would simply heat things up (bad mmkay), or, REALLY heat things up if there's not enough extra fuel being dumped in.

Other than that, yeah, having an o2 bottle go bang would eb much scarier (read: flames) than an n2o bottle go bang, which would result in raging fits of laughter.

Hmm possibly road-rage fix: NOS-Mace! :
