Default EF XR6 VS GLI Fuel pressure reg.

Hey,

As I understand the GLI fuel pressure reg is about 30kpa less pressure than the XR6 reg, would I get a small performance gain by substituting in a GLI reg for my XR6 one?

Cheers

if you run a more lumpier cam than your stock xr one it may have benifets (as it mayb run leaner), but you are also running the xr ecu (runs rich), so not sure on how much of an affect it will make

If you run an XR6 ECU on a stockish motor you will notice a benifit in installing a non xr (275kpa) regulator to lean out WOT pulls.

it comes down to what your car needs, if you have a GLi, and your cars running rich, then an XR6 ECU would lean it up a little.
the XR6 fuel reg would make it run richer.

the opposite applies to if you have an XR6 and replace with GLi bits.

Leaning the car from very rich mixtures at WOT will allow that few extra kw. Some people have seen up to 5-10rwkw when previous AFR's were around 10:1 after leaning to 12.5:1.

An adjustable FPR will allow the same ;)

AshMan, Im not saying that you will gain that. It depends entirely on how the car is running before and after.

FAlconkid, it depends, but 12.5 is considered good on the safe side. 13.0 is starting to get a little lean
