Yer I think it's some dude's on fordmods.
It was in a prang (something hit the front) and the whole front end is new. He's got basically all the exterior headlights, kit etc from an EL - even the rear tail lights. The colour is also from an EL!

Just look at those shopping trolleys lurking in the background, anxiously waiting for the owner to go inside a shop so they can strike the side of the car.
I think they spotted the full re-spray. Definitely worth it with those K's.

Way too cheap IMO. Either the interior and exterior aren't as good as they appear on the photo's, or it drives like a bucket of crap :P
Or, it's just the bargain of the century! Whoever did the repairs didn't put the tickford and XR8 badges back on correctly. Also, it has EL tail-lights, why would these have needed to be changed if it was a front end smash only? The tell tail signs that it's an EF are the facts that it doesn't have the black sand paper stuff inbetween the side windows (door bits) and the side mouldings are EF style. I wonder why there are no pictures of the Engine bay? Last edited by Yagz; 08-03-2005 at 10:28 AM. |

Looks awesome definantly too cheap though theres got to be a catch somewhere though, repairable writeoff? In the FM thread everyone told him its so cheap and he had several offers, you would think that at least he would list it at a higher price on carsales.com even if just to test the market?

Yaggy's car had front end repairs and ended up with EF tail lights...

Ok, crack in firewall, air cond doesnt work & its a 94 EF, so that'll explain a bit of the low price.
The full body kit (EL even) and re-spray would bump the price back up. Seen series one EF XR8's for as low as $9k on car sales. Most are still around the +12k mark though. Can you imagine having +15k on it and having dreamers & joy riders stuff you around for months. AU xr8's can be had for under 20k now so the price of a car 5 years older has to be less. How good does it look in the fordmods pictures....... Drooooooooool
