Default normal temp for EL fairmont/falcon??

hi all

in cold weather, was wondering where the needle should be sitting on the temperature guage in your EF/EL fairmont/falcons. Mine seems to never get past 'a'.. even after a good run to the city from keilor (25k's). btw.. have recently replaced thermostat with a new 92*C one in an attempt to fix heater (didnt work lol.. heater still blows warmish air even on max)..

What mode do you have it in cos if you have it in face and floor it will blow hot air to your feet and cool air to your face.
I read somewhere that it does that to prevent hot air from making you drowsy blowing directly on your face.
Not sure if thats true but it makes sense.
I usually put mine on screen/floor as this flows warm from both.

um the air is never really hot.. regardless of the mode. When its on face/floor, cold air to face and lukewarm air to the floor, regardless of engine temp..

My air con packed it in years ago, but after the bad boy was lowered a month or so ago the air con has been blowing hot air onto the windscreen and it made me very drowsey on a trip down to Goulburn.

It was a bit freaky, but nothing that can't be cured with a lowered window.

Mine sits just above the A in winter and summer. Nearly burnt my bloody hand in front of it this morning.

What actual temp does your cars run at, mine will sit at 92 on the highway.
Find this out with the diagnostic "hack" lol

Dunno what it is in degrees but it usually sits on the A in average Brisbane temps. Willowbank the other night was 15 not long before I left and the needle stayed below the L the whole trip home.
