Default RPM VS Speed

Hey all,

Just wondering whats your diff ratio is and at what speed do you top out on every gear. Also do you know if your speedo is accurate??

I got a 3.27 single spinner topped out 1st about 60, 2nd about 95, 3rd is around 140ish i've never really checked it.

After painting needles i get 1st--> 52-54, 2nd--> bout 88-90

anyone that has checked my "Brightening Dash" thread would know i've painted my needles and hence they weigh a little more hence reading low. i was wondering if the new figures were accurate or not.

Thanks
Steve

Firstly

What RPM are you doing at 100klms (4 for man or 3 for Auto)?

This is the best comparison. Forget speed at gear change.

Did you use a lead-based paint?

well when mine was goin mine did 1850rpm in 4th with the torque convertor locked.
in 1st it would do about 80km/h valve bouncing

in 3rd and 4th it just kept goin
don't know what diff ratio or if the speedo was right.

nah i just used basic modelling paint. the 'spring' that turns the needle is designed to operate with the weight of the needle taken into account thus even a small change in weight effects the reading.

LTDHO: ill check the 0-100 tomorrow and get back to you.

I've got a 3.27 LSD and it does about 1850 rpm at 100km/h. This is with a 4 speed auto. Hope this helps.
