You would definitely get a more comprehensive answer to this question in the Windsor forums. I don't like seeing ignored/unanswered threads so I'll give it a shot based on my very limited knowledge of these motors.

Heads
Edelbrock Performer, AFR 165cc, GT-40P, GT-40X, Trickflow. There's plenty more. How big is your budget?
Inlet Manifold
Explorer, Cobra, GT40, Edelbrock RPM, Trickflow.
Injectors
All I know is that you should have injectors calibrated to match the MAF and ECU. So if you put in 24lbs injectors, you would need a MAF calibrated to suit.
Throttle Body
Yeah I'm sure that would bolt on to any of the Inlet Manifolds listed above.

Have a browse through here - http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...rchType=Engine

Work out a budget or a power output that you're aiming for first, it'll make choosing parts a lot easier. You could spend $2000 to $120,000 on the parts you mentioned for a Windsor. Don't forget to budget in driveline/suspension mods to the total cost if you're getting serious.

It would be American $$ so divide everything by 0.7108, ie.
$64.95/0.7108 = $91.38 Australian

Dont forget shipping from the US isnt cheap either. I would estimate it at approx $40-$60 Australian per part as an average. Heads will be more like a $200 shipping.

Are you completely mad??????? :

Car loans are a bad enough way of having a nice machine. Mods are also an expensive enough exercise without adding interest to the piles of dosh you will spend chasing a dyno queen readout. The only good reasons for upgrading these motors is if something is broken & you needed to change it anyway or it is for a race car. Since neither seem to apply to you, getting a loan is the worst thing you could do. If you needed a loan for an LPG conversion I could see the point (money saved would cover the interest charged, just take longer to be a money saver).

My advice is have a little patience & buy the parts as they become available second hand (watch Just Parts, eBay, Trading Post, Forums For Sale section etc...) & buy them as you can afford to pay cash for them.

Cars are money pits, true enough & I'm guilty of spending lots of money without entering my car in any events yet. But why would you even consider paying any more for something you don't really need than you absolutely have to? :

you probably should ask before telling me what applies to me, i plan to do some racing in this car......... im a sub contractor and i just like to know what i have to pay monthly and be able to get all the stuff at once rather than pay the mechanic to put these items on each time. so i doubt its the worst thing i can do..........

Ok, well $3000-$4000 Is pretty small change when you're modifying a 302W Rollerblock, I'm guessing this price doesn't include labour?

I would look on ebay etc for some 2nd hand alloy heads, they should be around the 2k mark, maybe a bit less, or you could go for a set of GT40P's, which go for around $700 2nd hand.

Crane 2030 or TFS1 cam and chain set ($500), a set of roller rockers ($450) and depending on what the heads have fitted, you may need new springs, collets and retainers ($300-ish)

Explorer manifold ($700-ish) or Edelbrock Performer ($1000-ish) or the chinese knock-off of the Edelbrock RPM manifold, Typhoon I think they're called ($700-ish)

AU 65mm TB's go for $200 tops with a spacer, or you could get an Edelbrock, BBK, TFS etc throttle for under $400.

Look around for a set of 24# injectors on the forums, ebay etc, or buy them new for around $400.

I don't know if you have extractors etc, so you'll want to budget for them, as well as an exhaust, suspension, brakes and a big trans cooler if you're running an auto. Don't forget about gaskets etc as well.

OK then, sorry. What sort of racing are you planning on doing? (ie. for which category? & in what type of events are you planning on entering?)

In case you are interested, mine is working its way slowly towards 3J, Improved Production. I'd like to be entering catrgory 3 at some hill climbs & supersprints. I'd also like to do the occasional multi-club circuit race. I can keep the rego on it (& I want to) because none of these will require a roll cage in a registered vehicle, just a few basics & a CAMS log book for the circuit races.
