Just found this on ebay. Might be of interest for some of the EF/EL owners out there. I reckon it looks pretty sweet. Thoughts?

i think it'd look a lot better if the hole was smaller and the vertical bars didnt protrude out from the bar.

Rant on.
I have seen worse crap on this forum. This forum used to be full of nice and positive people and paying credit to members when they did something different. And EFFALCON, what was people’s opinion when you said you are going to put a BA front bar on an e series? I know people hated the idea of my shaker until they saw it then a lot of interest in the simple mod. Rant off.

hell... if everybody liked everything, it'd be a boring world...
not everyone has the same tastes, its why some of us drive fairlanes, others drive xr's......then there are others again that drive econo-boxes.. vega, ........ if you had no ties with this bar, would you have made the comment above? |

i also got a lot of positive comments AFTER they seen it. the fact is we're looking at the bar, and don't like it. Quote:
you went and did it, put up pics, some did like it, some didnt. its personal preference, again, we're comparing an idea to an actual picture. go and slap the front bar on yours, try and change peoples opinions on the bar, i'm not gunna say i like something when i don't. why should we lie to you?

The fact that you don’t like it isn’t the problem, it just seems that when people do different or new things people are quick to tell them that they either like it or hate it. Now I know this will never change but my point was more to the fact that I remember this forum being more supportive and friendlier. It seems now day’s people are scared to put up new things due to being afraid of being burnt. I’m not asking for people to lie, just for their opinions to be constructed in a way that it doesn’t get others down for their hard work, weather its a cheap $20 mod or a $5000 one, they all deserve a pat on the back.

Although, i spose some people need realise that critisim will always excist. Either way, whatever i do to my car isn't for other people, it's for myself so my opinion is the only one which counts for me.

the bar looks to be incredibly well made, but at the end of the day, we do these things to our cars knowing not everyone will like it.
I've copped **** for having BA crap on my car, but i like it so who cares. the sooner people get used to some critisism the better, use it to improve on the ideas or completely ignore it

I don't recall kicking anyone in the guts and saying, BAD, BAD. DO IT AGAIN.
I don't like the design that's all. I can't build or mould a front bar. Good on him for doing that and making a design he likes. An opinion is just that, an opinion. It's nothing personal.

I like it from the side angle, but it'd look much nicer if it didn't have the protrusions like mentioned. I'd also think it'd look better if the opening didn't have vertical lines - but slanted. I guess the Venom bar covers that though........
The car on the whole looks mint though!

Is it really that hard for people to say they don't particular like it without saying its 'gay' or 'crap' or 'very very ugly'?
I personally think the photos don't do it justice. When Lachlan had the XR8 it looked mean driving towards you or behind you. There is a huge difference between negative criticism and constructive criticism..Think about that.. I am sure those of you that have had others say they hate your mods or your car etc that you have not smiled sweetly and said 'that's ok, its just your opinion'!!!!
