So here is a quick poll to see who has damaged their Front OR Rear bumper bar as their car was or is TOO LOW???

yep
i've broken clips/mounts on my rear bar. the underside is very scraped front bar has large sections of paint missing near the front underside. flexing on the edges has caused paint to crack.

My AU fairmont has been lowered a fair bit with the TS50 kit on it. With no people it sits at around 12cm at the lowest point but with people around 10ish cm. I find it fine these days but when i first started i was always affraid of scraping. And after coming from a high NA fairlane to a low AU there is a lot of driference. (Worst memory was when my mum drove my car to work and back and left half the kit between the two. Her quote was "I scraped a little but there are no makrs". I had a peek underneather and there was about 10cm of kit missing. So that had to be fixed..) Just remember if it breaks it can still be fixed.

when a car is low it looks great - just gotta take it slow - although there will always be times when u scrap....on my car i have scraped the front end a few times...once was from not judging a 'U' turn properley and hitting scraping on the gutter and once was pulling out if my driveway not going sideways enough.....the key is go overthe-top sideways on every bump...this should avoid most scraps

no damage for me, but the previous owner did manage to damage the front wheel arch. It was done by going to fast up a steep driveway while turning. I fixed it up though....... :thebirds:

I obviously ticked the 5th option. I've only ever scraped the underside of my car twice!

My wagon is "standard" Tickford height and I've scraped the front bar several times, It also has the Hayman Reece HD Towbar and the bar that runs under the fuel tank has taken a scrape or 6. I want to take another inch or so out of the height and also fit my Tickford front Spoiler - then I'll have to be careful.
Cheers Paul B. XR6WGN

i took a chunk out of a diff once lol
mainly front bar scrapes but not recently, i try to crawl over bumps with the new bar as its still perfect underneath what was interesting, the previous owner of my car had it at stock height yet the bottom of the bar was still raped... lol

A few odd front bar scrapes, but apart from that nothing unless i got a full car load. When the exhaust tips touches the road going into a driveway!

I have never damaged anything in a lowered falcon apart from scraping the towbar in the EA. The EF might be a different storry this weekend, it's coming down another 2 inches. I used to drive a Mitsubishi Galant that was dumped on 16's, completely stuffed the front and rear bars on several occasions. Oh and the engine, the gearbox, the brakes, exhaust etc etc. |

i bottomed out at an autobarn store (smell irony?) and got stuck lol. the old girl didnt have the balls to get either up or down the driveway... and also rolled it backwards off the trailer and the muffler grabbed the 8mm lip on the back. that made a mess

I have had my front bar repaired and painted twice now! with the extra lip on the bottom its a pain in the ****, and these goat tracks they call roads up here in queensland dont help, oh to drive on the "good" Adelaide roads again!
I have to Be real careful up here as the front bar catches on nearly every driveway!
