Just get EL ones. AU will fit with some fiddling. EL will bolt straight in.

i hear between 5-15 hp gain depending on size of original fan

so.... the EF fans will b the same as the EL fans? cause il get them cheaper if i buy the EF ones... (sorry im not that good with cars haha) |

You don't anywhere near that much power. Maybe 4-5 rwkw tops. Just sounds better in my book. Should rev a bit better.
EF will bolt straight on but run slightly different to EL fans. EL are the easiest to wire up. |

mmm. I dont think you'd get much gain . A good clutch fan should never be creating resistance at big revs anyway. If it is your hub is stuffed. Then what about the alternator load increasing cause it has to power those two fans. They draw heaps of current on high speed. Then you have to wire em up with a thermo switch and figure out how to achieve the low speed and high speeds make sure they have good power supplies with fuses or fusible links.
I reckon its not worth it like I said a clutch fan does not really offer much resistance at full throttle anyways or at cruise for that matter. It should only lock up when the heat coming through the radiator is hot enough to make the bi-metallic spring in the front of the hub lock up the oil passage inside it. It'd be interesting if someone could do a power run on the dyno with the fan on then unscrew it and run again. Lets guess how much it'd be. Cause I really have no idea.  :

AU fans arent wide enough for your radiator. EF /EL ones will be a perfect fit.

Clutch fans especially on the Falcon are terrible. You'd be amazed at how much smoother the car runs without it, and revs so much easier and further. The car is much quieter at idle, and on dirt you dont create a giant dust storm under the car.
As for power I didnt really notice anything, but like I said it did rev smoother.

I have AU thermo's in my EA. The best way i found to fit them was to install the upside down :P
