Default AU1 extreme rough idle??

hey guys!

I have an extremely rough idle in drive, rough in neutral and in park.
this problem started off with a very minor rough idle , and has worsened over the months. however when you drive along, it is all good, its only when you are idling where its rough.

i have changed sparks, leads, oil, battery so far. the car has travelled 220k's.

when i disconnect the iac connector at idle, the engine turns off? should it do this?

things i havnt done is O2sensor, coilpack, iac??? or could it be my valves?

like to get some idea's or if anyone else has experienced this?

car is also dualfueled gas/petrol and is the same for both!

thanks for hearing me out!

chances are in it the oil filled engine mounts... Change to a set of the rubber EL mounts and the problem will be solved

could be engine mounts, but i've done engine mounts about 1yr ago. also, it seems like its about stall on me at idle, and running on petrol i can smell it running rich, strong smell.

My 99 Forte was doing the same thing, and I noticed it when it reached its 80,000kms mark.. which is time for a service anyways.

Someone said on here, it could be an issue with the intake.

The engine should stall if you disconnect the IAC at idle
It's probably a good idea to take it off and give it a good clean out anyway

update with rough idle issue

got some time to buy a coil pack from repco $100 new and fit, Charcoal cannister from wreckers (this was a long shot, reading some of the threads, i thought why not!) cleaned iac motor with carby cleaner, cleaned throttle body.

So far car runs much better on idle, it doesht shake as bad on idle, use to shake from side to side. Much better response and acceleration!

There is still a slight tiny shake in it on idle. What is the best way to check to vacuum? as i didnt really check this so far????
