I have heard a couple of people saying that there engine is blueprinted...
I don't know what it means... So if anyone can tell me what means, what happens when they "blueprint" your engine and the advantages it has... cheers!

Blueprinting means during assembly you check, and tripple check all dimesnions, clearences, weights etc to ensure they all corrospond to exacting dimensions.
Often this is just a fancy way of saying "yeah the old moter karked it, so we bored it 20(ish) thou and dropped in some new pistons....I THINK we also checked the bearings and ring gaps"

Blue printing means checking things like, valve spring pressures getting them the same, checking piston heights and either machining them to be all the same or throwing away a rod and getting another one whichever way, factory rods are not all the same length so it must be checked, squaring up the deck to the main tunnel, all bearing clearances checked and basically just things like that. Also when balancing you do it to tighter tolerances say where a normal engine is ok within 2-3 grams (factory about 20g) a proper race/blue printed engine about .1 of a gram.
