Ok firstly, if there is a CFi SVO then it should be burnt.

As for the paint, I would say that the top colour would be underneth the grey door "panels".

find an owner of a real one and get em to help you check it out otherwise buyer beware
many different types/specs were availliable as option
so hard to tell other than obvious gear and a few small clues

Nah minimum option for EA SVO was S Pack or Ghia, required to be ordered with 3.23 ratio diff (series 1) and MPFI.

I know of Mick Webb's own SVO being for sale at the moment. I have checked it out, as featured in Motor magazine back in 1988 (same plates) and the log book says it was owned by Mr. SVO himself.

Car aint much chop body and interior wise at the moment but the mechanicals are mickey mouse, would suit someone with time and cash to restore it (non-gunna).

If anyone wants the guys number PM me.

just a slight diversion - some of you will remember i mentioned i'd seen an SVO fairlane at Pick-a-part recently, it was sitting in the for sale section, pretty much complete car for $1600. It was low, had the nice grey svo wheels, dash/badges etc. I was seriously considering buying it, doing a little work to it and selling it off for a good profit. I went back to look at it a few days back, and was told by one of the attendants that apparently someone had flogged the wheels, so they put the rest in the dump parts yard. I found it amongst the other skeletons, completely canibalised. Couldn't even bring myself to take a picture of it!

what a waste.

Sunny, that's not the purpley colour over silver is it?

I raced a dude who had one who just bought it recently. He said Mick's son owned it and just had a 4.0l chucked in it.

What times do they run stock; 5-speed?
