Jeez, I hope not... I'll go and check it a bit closer, lol.

Here's another that shows a bit more of the profile

edit: oops, file too large...

I'll resize and try again...

edit 2: won't let me upload.... I'll play around with it after work...

Looks like the bottom half of a cough**BA**cough XR bar grafted on to the top half of the AU bar.
Am i correct?

Certainly looks like a happy car!! You know, maybe its just me, and i know i will get flammed for this, but the first thing that came to my mind when i saw that bar was VT Clubsport. : At least i know what a burgandy fairmont front end looks like with a kit, wonder what the TS50 lower would look like.

haha.... very good.

I'm not sure what Bob at http://www.canberracarstyling.com.au/ based the design on. None of the suggestions so far quite match up...

Anyhoo, a few more pics:-

the first one is not resized so be wary if on dial-up.

It's actually Barossa Red...

I bought that bar because I didn't want a full kit. The other bars I considered would have looked stupid without side skirts (which would then necessitate a rear bar).

All I wanted to do was improve the front (and add driving lights) without resorting to a whole kit ;)

Sorry mate, i am no good at picking colours! i have been thinking about the exact same thing myself, as i wouldnt mind some driving lights, but am not too keen on them in the stock bar. i couldnt get any of those pics to work, but i would like to see the side of the car. how much lower is that bar compared to the rest of the car?

That's exactly the position I was in. It's an expensive set of driving lights lol, but I'm very happy with the result.

Oh? I hope others can see them ok?
PM me an email addy and I'll send you a few pics

The bottom of the front of the side skirt (just behind fr wheel arch) is 170mm.
The bottom of the bar (just in front of the wheel arch) is 148mm, so bar is 22mm lower.
That was a major concern when I was looking for a bar. I really didn't want a bucktooth looking front but also didn't want a full kit. Have a look around... it ain't that easy to satisfy those requirements.

Anyhoo, happy to help with any other info you want.

edit: FALCONSR - I think you're right. I'm not sure of the model Commo but I know I've seen the bulge on the driving light ports on something...

Ron - looks great. It's a VX GTS front air dam, grafted into an AU bumper, and the front vertical split in the opening removed. When I had that bar on my AU, it was around the time the BAs came out, and I got "Great looking BA there - how does it go?" comments. Those that knew it was an AU mistook it for a T3. So it's a great bar - keeps 'em guessing.

Ron - you should send a shot of the front of yours to Bob. He'll stick it up on the website.
