jeez from the outside u could not tell that that had any speed potential at all. i would not like to see you at a set of traffic lights. a couple of questions- 1. where is the battery 2. how do you go insuring something like that- do you have to go through shannons? you would have to be pay heaps of insurance for all that underbonnet stuff.

cheers guys,

The battery is located in the boot between the strut towers.

Just car insure me for the car and will cover the cost of the car but the mods. they allow almost any modification.

the idea is to be most insuspecting and then blow them out of the water well i hope.

um power wise im hoping to get somthing over 200rwkw on 7psi as i an running standard au engine with 9.5:1 comp i don't want huge power caus ethe trusty old t5 wont handel it..

cheers guys

You should manage 200rwkw pretty easy IMHO - my car does just over that on a 218,000km old engine (though I wonder about the respective flow rates of EB XR and AU heads...)

I wouldn't worry that much about compression either - TUFED6 has 9:1 compression and runs 23psi!

If you want the T5 to last, stay out of 3rd lol - it may as well be made out of glass!

What did you use to cover your throttle cable? Where did you get it?

I melted the old one and 2 new ones this morning using crappy fabric heat sheild. $120 wasted in 3 hours.

I yeah, I forgot to say - that looks FRICKEN HOT! so neat and lovely looking!

dan - have you tried re-routing the accelerator cable? I moved mine to curve up and between the booster and master cylinder, then along the firewall up high, above the wiring, and then down and to the throttle. You will probably have to 'adjust' the dipstick position a little to ensure the cable doesn't pull/push on it as the engine rocks around (which they do...lots!) I broke the handle off a dipstick with the cable before I figured that out lol.

So far its lasted 20,000km including a 1min 13 second and 2min 15 second burnout at powercruise

ive allways run min in front of the compressure housing it sat neatly on top of the intake pipe, it neaver seamed to get hot or too damaged. now im using
-14 stainless steel tubing over the top of the cable it has not yet been tested but well see how it goes!

Looks sweet, just fit a cover over the turbine housing to keep the heat under the bonnet down.

Well done
