Default auto question

Hey, just wondering if anyone else has experienced clunking while shifting from park into drive or reverse? This mean somthing bad or would a service or even somthing easier n cheaper fix this? Its an EB2 Fairmont, are these autos any good?

Also any information on shift kits would be appreciated, good/ bad etc.

Thanks Heaps
