As some of you may have seen before i was scoping out an ed xr6, well i've decided not to go for it as its too much hassle cause its interstate, its on ebay if any one is interested its only on $2250 and it passed a revs check. Instead i found this one close by asking $4000, so i went down and had a look at it. Looks ok, Theres a few scratches in the paint and its i need of a good polish. The quad headlight grille has one of the mounting brackets broken off and a large washer holding it instead, its still sturdy but doesn't look right, it will also need a new headlight as one has broken mounts. Engine looks ok, has tickford rocker cover and a t on the front of the head, everything is there. Now the interior, here is where i have a few questions, Its got after market power windows, do they normally have a big blanking cap over the old window winder hole or are the smooth, and they have gone and cut holes in the centre console for the switches and it looks real dodgy. Can some one please post a pic of the power window switches and location on a factory fitted ed. Other than the power windows the rest of the interior almost immaculate. oh yeah and its done 255000kms. Do you people think its worth it if i can get it for $3200. I know its really up to me but i'm in need of opinions Please help.
Thanks Benny Mac

standard power windows, as in the fairmonts, have a completly different centre console. sounds like it needs some work done to it. as for the k's, its got a fair few! you could proberly get a better price.

Yeah i've decided against it for now, if he's still got it in a month i'll go back and offer him a low price. If i could get it cheap i'd probably buy it, not too worried about mechanical as i'm a diesel mechanic and also get below trade price at motor traders who deal genuine ford, two of my best mates are panel beaters and spray painters. And i'm pretty handy with fibre glassing.
