The indicator stalk has the on/off switch, the set buttons are on the left side of the steering wheel. Radio controls on the right.

To set cruise just twist the indicator switch to the on position (its spring loaded) and then press the middle cruise button (there are 3). That will set the cruise.

Sorry, your right, I'm confusing it with my EF. Cruise on the right.

when you turn cruise on with the stalk does the word "cruise" appear on the dash?

Odd though, if you dont have cruise why do you have the switch on the stalk? Most AU's that I know of that dont have cruise never got the switch.

I can tell you that mine doesn't have factory cruise yet has an aftermarket cruise and it doesn't work. I don't use it anyway.

Previous owner had to replace indicator stalk and could only get one with cruise switch at the time (?) Something like that anyway is my guess.

Seems odd, and Im pretty sure the AU1 Classic got Cruise as part of the deal, if the on/off switch is there it should definately be enabled.

I take it you've worked out how to turn it on and off, it can br tricky at first. What you need to do is flick the end of the stalk up (theres a seperate bit on the end), so the little white marker on it lines up with where it says "on". You can let it go after that and it will go flick back down itself.

After that the word "cruise" should appear in the LCD display in the dash, and then your steering wheel mounted controls should control the speed settings etc.
